Charm Bags Coarse Natural Cotton

These are small 100% cotton bags made of a coarse natural colored cotton. I make bags in all sizes and shapes. These are about 3 by 2 inches.

Yule Tree Ornaments Soft Fabric 2012

These are some Yule tree ornaments I made for my niece and nephew. Early on I knew that I wanted to make soft toys and soft tree ornaments for them. These are safe and easy for small hands; and the little dog too. Each ornament is made of a small panel of holiday fabric stuffed with polyester fill and a small silky ribbon. They are washable. I made a bunch extra to sell. These ornaments are about 2 inches square.

Drink Coasters Fabric Sepia National Parks

These are some coasters I made, to put under hot or cold drinks. They are made of 100% cotton. The shades are earthy sepia orange tones. One selects two fabrics, cuts 3 squares of each, folds 4 pieces and layers everything together along with batting. The edges are sewn and the whole thing turned out. These are about 4 inches square.

Yule Charm Bag Luck Holly 2013

These are small charm bags that I made for our local group for Yule 2013. They are 100% cotton, including fabric, thread, and yarn. These bags are empty and were used in a small workshop and Yule blessing ritual. Each person creates his or her own charm bag for Yule. I make this type of bag on request. Each bag is about 2.5 inches long.

Yule Charm Bag Luck Yellow Sun 2012

These are small charm bags that I made for our local group for Yule 2012. They are 100% cotton, including fabric, thread, and yarn. Inside each bag are small slips of paper with a fortune and philosophy, and a smooth bit of rose quartz. Each person draws a bag from the basket for their Yule fortune. I make this type of bag on request. Each bag is about 2 inches long.

Hernes Hand Gallery Update 02

Updating my progress in creating my channel for Herne's Hand projects and other cool stuff. I have my blog up, my channel up, and a number of videos up. I have plenty of ideas and items to share. As I proceed, I hope to work out lighting and camera placement, along with better equipment to do close up photography. For larger items I will need another studio corner.

I appreciate everyone who is here at the start of my endeavor. This is a long term project for me and I look forward to feedback and inquiries.

Blue Cotton Hand Wipes Intro

This is a simple cotton hand wipe for out in the garage or workshop. I spotted the lightweight blue fabric in the store and thought I would give it a try to make my own hand wipes. These hold up nicely in the wash. The fabric is 100% cotton.

Pink Flamingo Dinner Napkins Intro

Another delightful dinner napkin print. I found this pink flamingo fabric at the local Goodwill Store and have not been able to find any more. I plan to make napkins, potholders and maybe a few fabric coasters with this design. These napkins are 100% cotton.

Dinner Napkins Fruit Floral Intro

These are high quality 100% cotton dinner napkins. I learned how to make them from my friend Heather. I received a set as a part of a Pay It Forward craft project. I fell in love with them and use them all the time. These I have made for sale. The fabric is from Hancock's of Paducah where I buy a lot of my quilting fabric. These napkins are about 18x18 inches.

Flannel Stocking Tree Ornament Intro

These are some of the tree ornaments I made for Yule one year. Each year I make a different fabric ornament for my niece and nephew, and as gifts for others. This creation is of little cotton flannel stockings. They can hold candy or tiny toys and other trinkets. They store well and can be tossed in the wash and ironed afterwards. I learned how to do free-form sewing from my friend Ray long ago. He was a puppeteer and had lots of tricks up his sleeves.

Red Flannel Bags 4 Inch Intro

I make a lot of red flannel pouches in various sizes. Their uses are many. I put trinkets, jewelry, herbs, stones, coins, etc. in them for safe keeping. They are used as mojo bags or amulet pouches. I carry my good luck charm in a violet flannel bag in my pocket as a sort of pocket amulet. I make flannel bags in many different colors and sizes. Some I give as gifts, otherwise I make them to sell. This is the larger size red flannel pouch with a seam on the back. It is 4 inches by 2.5 inches.

Potholder Southwest Blue Denim Face Intro

This is a large denim faced potholder. I learned how to make these from my best friend's mom, Mata. Traditionally they are made from used jeans and whatever mix of fabrics one has to hand. I make them with 100% cotton materials. This potholder has a blue southwest fabric backing. I made many of these; some for gifts and some for sale.
