Flannel Stocking Tree Ornament Intro

These are some of the tree ornaments I made for Yule one year. Each year I make a different fabric ornament for my niece and nephew, and as gifts for others. This creation is of little cotton flannel stockings. They can hold candy or tiny toys and other trinkets. They store well and can be tossed in the wash and ironed afterwards. I learned how to do free-form sewing from my friend Ray long ago. He was a puppeteer and had lots of tricks up his sleeves.

Red Flannel Bags 4 Inch Intro

I make a lot of red flannel pouches in various sizes. Their uses are many. I put trinkets, jewelry, herbs, stones, coins, etc. in them for safe keeping. They are used as mojo bags or amulet pouches. I carry my good luck charm in a violet flannel bag in my pocket as a sort of pocket amulet. I make flannel bags in many different colors and sizes. Some I give as gifts, otherwise I make them to sell. This is the larger size red flannel pouch with a seam on the back. It is 4 inches by 2.5 inches.
